"Home Appliances of the First Half of 20th Century" in Targovishte

On October 3rd in Regional History Museum of Targovishte was opened the exhibition of the National Technical Museum "Home Appliances of the First Half of 20th Century". The exhibition is mobile and for more than three years is traveling in Bulgaria with remarkable success.

The exhibition presents exhibits related to the lifestyle of Bulgarian cities in the first half of the 20th century. Electric and mechanical appliances are selected, according to their use in one apartment: vestibule / living room / living room, kitchen, maintenance of good appearance, home hygiene. Emphasis was placed on the change in everyday life when electric appliances were introduced in the context of the urban dwelling. As an illustrative material, ads and texts from the then press were selected.
